In short

Limitless Painting & Decorating offers practical colour consultation across Sydney’s Northern Beaches and Eastern Suburbs. We help you choose interior and exterior schemes that suit your home, your light and your street, with genuine Dulux colour expertise. Honest, down-to-earth advice from family painters working the area since 1988.

Choosing a colour from a small Dulux swatch in store is one of the easiest ways to end up repainting sooner than you planned — light, aspect and the surrounding streetscape all change how a colour actually reads on your walls.

Colour consultation is most useful before a full interior or exterior repaint, when you're renovating and need a scheme to tie new and existing areas together, or when you're preparing a home for sale and want a safe, broadly appealing palette. We talk it through in person, against your actual walls and light, rather than guessing from a screen.

Common questions

Do painters offer colour consultations?

Yes. If you’re stuck on colours, we’ll help you choose shades that suit your home, your light and your street, for interiors and exteriors.

How much does a colour consultation cost?

We’ll talk you through options as part of quoting your job. Where a more detailed standalone consultation is needed, we’ll let you know clearly before any cost applies.

Can you help choose a colour scheme for selling my home?

Yes. For pre-sale work we lean toward safe, broadly appealing schemes that suit the most buyers, rather than bold personal choices — we'll talk through what tends to work for your area and home style.

How do you choose colours that suit a coastal home?

Coastal light is brighter and harsher than inland, so colours that look right on a swatch can read very differently on an actual wall facing the ocean. We assess this on-site, in your home's real light, rather than from a chart alone.

What are the best Dulux colours for a beach house?

There's no single answer — it depends on your home's aspect, materials and surroundings — but soft, light-reflecting whites and warm neutrals tend to suit coastal homes well, with deeper tones used sparingly on trims or feature areas. We'll bring physical Dulux swatches and talk through what works for your specific home.
